STEM 101 is a GPS community dedicated to fostering the next generation of African American science and engineering professionals.
We support high school juniors and seniors considering college majors in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
STEM101 connects students to hands-on research and academic enrichment opportunities in government labs, corporate facilities, and on university campuses.
GPS Students who are selected for the STEM101 program are automatically named as Ron Brown Captains, and receive early career development, including mentorship by working doctors, academics, and other science and engineering professionals.
We encourage students to challenge themselves, and help prepare them for the rigors of college-level math and science instruction.
